Sir Bob is famous for 2 things. 1) Feeding the world 2) Boomtown Rats singer. I admire Bob for getting all those "stars" together and raising all that dosh for the starving people of Africa. Very noble of him. But Sir Bob,theres a load of struggling people up in Cumbria right now who have lost their homes due to terrible flooding. Where are you? Wheres fucking Bono? Give Midge a ring and get off your arse and raise some money for them. Are you just too busy looking after number one?Anyway before Bob was getting knighted he had quite a good band. Some regarded them as a bit of a joke but I enjoyed some of their stuff especially the early singles so here they are from '78. 51 minutes and 371mb. Yep the good old days indeed. Cheers Mike.
Well done!!! I bought the VHS tape years ago. Recently I found a remastered DVD including this concert. The tracklisting is a bit different in comparison to the original one.
Thanks a lot.
Keep on blogging like this

I can't say I ever owned the VHS of this. I think I've got an 84 gig from Hammersmith somewhere too......somewhere. Cheers Rosenkohl1977
I don't car what anyone says "Tonic for the Troops" is one of the best albums of the punk* era.
*Top fifty anyway.
Its been many years since I listened to it jeff. I never rated it as much as you do though. Maybe I would enjoy it more now. Cheers.

Any chance of posting all 3 tracks from the 'Looking After No.1' single? I've got the A-side but can't find the B-side tracks anywhere! Cheers.
I thought I had that single somewhere Graeme but it seems not. The best person to ask is Gary over at http://asfm.blogspot.com/
