Live from The Kursaal,Southend its another super live band - the undisputed kings of Pub Rock,Dr Feelgood. Apparently even without any original members now, they still are a super live band today. But in 1975 you had classic Feelgood and I wish I had seen them back then. I didn't get to see them until the 80's but they were brilliant then too and that was without Wilko Johnson who of course features here. You can buy this on much better quality DVD with a bonus 24 track live CD for under 7 quid here http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dr-Feelgood-Going-Back-Home/dp/B0006MLSJY

I have this Dvd it's great stuff, top post for those who don't. Good work Longy.
Thanks for this post. Great!
Great hard working band - saw them at Manchester Univ in about 1980 - think they recorded a Live album on the night. well done mate
Cheers Sparky,Shadreck and Mullers.
Just in case it didn't make the nationals, watch out for Oil city confidential it had a limited cinema release, but I think I'm gonna have to wait for the DVD as I was working the one night it was on down here in Southend.
Interesing piece in the local rag the other day about Wilko and his rooftop observatory, he's an avid stargazer and was jokingly being tipped as Patrick Moore's successor :)
Oh yeah thanks for the vid Longy brings back memories :)
The opening shots are interesting to me as it's Great to see the Pier in all it's glory the year before the first big fire.
also I used to work at that oil refinery right at the start.
Cheers for the tip on Oil City Asbo. Didn't know about that or Wilko's little hobby! Yea I forgot this was your neck of the woods. Cheers mate.
I'll scan the Wilko article and stick it on the blog sometime soon.
Thanks Asbo :-)
Many thanks Longy for sharing this! I have indexed your contribution, one from MarkyDread, Asbo's article and many other links at the Dr Feelgood/Wilko Johnson/Lew Lewis rarities megapost below:
