Theres been some nice posts of The Professionals + related floating about lately namely over at http://kingrockerrockson.blogspot.com/ and also over at http://mondo-de-muebles.blogspot.com/. Heres my tiny contribution. First up is the video to the single 1 2 3. A quality video if I say so myself.
Next up some VERY ropey footage from American TV in 1981 of them doing Little Boys In Blue and half another song which name escapes me (before the clip ends abruptly) If anyone has better footage of this and hopefully longer footage then share it please!
And finally just for good measure and for a bit of a joke heres Mr Steve Jones during his heavy metal days with the single Freedom Fighter on MTV. Yes thats MTV! Again the footage is a bit ropey but these are old videos. I did stick this one up on youtube 3/4 years ago but MTV got it took off (or was it an embarressed Mr Jones!)
I would advise you to view these vids with Windowa Media Player or better still Media Player Classic because they are the old Mpeg format and not your usual Winamp friendly avi's.

I didn't mind his Fire and Gasoline album..but his work with Andy Taylor is best swerved..
The Magnificent always sounds like a template tune for The Strokes..
I too loved his Fire & Gasoline lp, there was a great rocking version of "I did you know wrong" on it and i did have a live 5 track cd of Steve Jones somewhere .....I'm gonna go now and found it out.. how sad am i ? lol

I've got to admit I don't mind Fire & Gasoline either Mondo and Vuolture but then again,one of my fellow bloggers who shall remain anonomous (cough garyching) has already called me a closit rocker lol.

Yeah I wish mate that would be awesome I got loads of old shit tapes I would love to be able to clean up. If you like Fire & Gasoline you probably will hate Mercy as it's closer to Dire Straits the the Sex Pistols. But then again I don't want Axl Rose singing Pistols classics thank you very much Johnny does a fine job already.
I have a great Steve Jones gig where he premieres most of Fire & Gasoline I will up it if anyone is interested.
Well Gobshyte uploaded Mercy for me last night and I'm going to give it a listen tonight mate. I'll let you know what I think.
