The Ruts - Something That I Said 7'' (1979)

Single number 3 from The Ruts. A band that surely would of been massive if it hadn't been for the tragic death of singer Malcolm Owen. Guitarist Paul Fox unfortunately joined Malc up in the great gig in the sky 27 years later in 2007. This one reached No 29 in the UK chart back in '79.

Tracks

1) Something That I Said
2) Give Youth A Chance

These early punk bands were great! Any chance of a re-post of the First Professionals single?

A true punk classic.
'Ole Foxy sure was a maestro at guitar chop intros. The version on 'The Crack' LP was slightly different with a some drum/tom-tom action in the middle section. Love it and have it too - a great up Longy!

You always used to see Malcolm at the bar before every gig, and he would always talk to you. As you said such a shame for someone so talented to go so early.
