Not to be confused with their debut 12'' (One Of The Lads) this is John Lydon's little bruver's 4 Be 2 (Jimmy Lydon) and is produced by John (according to the cover anyway but there has been some dispute about that) Theres definately a PIL influence in there especially on the extra song "Bitch" Its good stuff. Hey Longy... This is an awesome post!! I actually think several of their basslines are better to anything Jah Wobble came up with in the day. I've been trying to get a digital version of this record for years!! (Too broke to get a digital turntable-thing...). This is one of my all-time favourite singles - and it's their most obscure - the few who know about the band rate the One Of The Lads debut, but this is WAY better (although I love One Of The Lads too... I didn't think the Frustration 7" was quite up to par though...). Don't suppose you have their Japan-only album, also from '81?? I've never even seen a tracklisting. They were a really interesting band, but I think people dismissed them as a joke, and never gave 'em a listen. I have a really hard to get promo-video for One Of The Lads somewhere... Anyway a huge THANKS for this post and for making this one of the best blogs out there... BTW, don't s'pose you have the V2 'Discography" cd that Overground put out? It's long out of print.
