Stamford Bridge - Chelsea (1970)

And now for a long lost classic from 1970 from the aptly named Stamford Bridge. I'm not quite sure why I love this one so much but I do : - ) Be honest,I really spoil you lot sometimes! The B side is shite unfortunately, unlike Ossie who was my hero as a kid.

Brilliant game vs LFC, SaB, i must admit. You lot indeed starts to play real football. Next step is improving the food.

Arsenal won't be easy. It never is.

Hiya Haba me old mate. I hated the game personally. Would of much rather settled for a Mourinho-like disiplined 0 0.

PS Nothing wrong with good English grub. Beats that arty farty garlicy bollox that you lot cook : - )

thought we outplayed them - deserved the win- as for this record-remember it well-if memory serves right this was kept off the top of the charts by The Pipkins singing 'Gimme Dat Ding'-equally that might be bullshit.Looking forward to a final with Everton ?! Longy-thanks for comment on my recent painting-can you send me an email - on my site-interested in what you said-like to follow it up-and other stuff as well-let you get over your hangover first

Yes sure Steve. You ain't wrong about the hangover lol. Had a fantastic day yesterday. Went to Baker Street (cant remember the name of the great big England pub there) but if was packed with our lot and 1000's outside. Massive celery tossing affair which went on to tomatoes, spring onions and even carrots.

We outsung them, outplayed them and fully deserved the victory. Went for quite a lot of drinks after in central London namely Soho and got the 7.57am train home this morning. Still haven't had any sleep. Saw loads of Everton fans last night and had a right good laugh with them so I'm glad they won especially happy that it went to extra time as we play them on Weds.

Longy,

Hiya mate... thanks for all the wondrful music.

I'm gonna surprise you here.. with tales of football!!! I meant to mention it a while ago.

Just before I fell to the White City dropouts, my first love was football... and thats all I wanted in my life. I played for Fulham under 15's (they were in Div 3 then)... left for QPR and was then taken to Chelsea (u16's) by a scout called Barry Howells. I only made two Chelsea training sessions and then another life stepped into play.

My early years in Fulham were smack bang in the middle of Stamford Bridge and Craven Cottage... though I never followed either of them... I had Anfield dreams!!

Take care, mate... Shane.

Thanks for that Shane. Yes I saw on one of your recent posts that you were near the "Holy Grail" in Fulham. Its a shame you never made it. Its even more of a shame that you had Anfield dreams!
