As usual the media over here are going mental with the build up for this game. Strangly,England are slight favourite's to win the game and everyone is on a wave of optimism. Yes,even it comes down to penalties the 3 Lions will still roar on to glory!Its all bollocks of course. Its the Germans isn't it. I am mentally prepared for disappointment. I am expecting us to go out. Anything else is a massive bonus.

This German team have been beaten in this competition already we have not. This German team are inexperienced and England will be ready for that. England WILL win this game by a narrow margin my prediction.

Don´t forget the way France did qualify. Today i heard by a german guy that happened the same thing as in 1966 World Cup, but this time it was against the English. The ball was inside the net and the line´s man didn´t see it.
On half time the score should be 2-2 .

I am sure you are having a few pints in an effort to forget today's match.Certainly 2-2 at the half could have produced a different result.But Germany is a better squad.England has some 'lack of speed' issues.
FIFA should bring in 'instant replay' on controversial goals.It works well in the much faster game of ice hockey.It is the 21st century!
And then more controversy in the Argentina vs Mexico game.An offside goal,a mindless defensive blunder and a great shot and Argentina move on.Mexico had their chances.
And yesterday a pregame pundit noted the USA's lack of a true striker and the limited mobility of the their central defenders.
Enjoyed both games today.

Cheers for the comments guys....had a bit of an extended drinking session yesterday. Sorrows well and truely drowned¬!
AT least here in the States we will no longer be forcefed soccer (for another 4 years!). It's fun to watch- and, as my mom-in-law is staying with us and is Brazilian; we are having a great time watching her go crazy cursing out Ghana beating the USA and Germany beating England and Argentina beating Mexico (heaven forbid Brazil loses!).
Plus- we get to watch the braodcasts in Spanish, since she can't understand the Irish play b play announcers!
Don't worry Longy.. Argentina will win them convincingly in the quarter-finals! Its not a team of German, but European Union & Turkey team, man! :)
Video Technology will come in eventually Marion but not while Blatter is about. It doesn't mask how awful England were yesterday. We would of still lost.
