Its not long now until The World Cup and I for one can't wait for this festival of football. It only comes round once every four years and being an England fan,you can't beat a good old-fashioned national disappointment like a good penalty shoot-out defeat.The big question is - Who's going to win the thing? I've bunged £20 on Brazil at 9/2 just to get a run for my money and I've stuck £10 on Argentina at 7/1 because I have a sneaking feeling they will do well despite Maradona being the Manager. My total dark horse outsiders (who I haven't backed because even I'm not stupid) are Chile.
What about you lot? Who do you reckon is going to be picking up that glorious trophy in South Africa?

I am going to choose a dark horse and say Uruguay. Not a bad choice considering they won it twice already.
As a USA fan of course I'd like to see us do it, but I think we'll probably see Brazil take it home for a sixth time. The US is definitely going to progress into the second round, though, bet on that kids.

Other than that I'm not sure why but I always end up cheering on the Italians against everyone except England, but the teams getting on a bit so probably not this time.
Brazil at 9/2 is a good bet, Argentina France and Germany will be in the mix, still not sure about Spain they usually freeze on the big stage but the Euro win might change things although I can't see Torres staying fit for 7 games (don't think he's managed it for Liverpool).
Outsiders I'd like to do well are Holland.
Australia ! no one hesitates or beats around the bush in Australia! we was robbed last time by an Italian feigned injury leads to penalty situation. it seems to me the refs can be intimidated by the reputation of some players /teams/ bastards

Well about the team who´s gonna win the world cup , i guess might be Brazil or Spain, despite Argentina has a better team squad.
I would like to see my country doing it, but Portugal as no more references playing nowadays, there´s no more Figo or Rui Costa and Ronaldo only plays well on his clubs.

I would like to watch England winning the trophy as i reckon the premier league the best football in the world. And finally England seems to have a good coach. They´re on the favorites together with Spain,Brazil,Argentina and Holland. I bet the winner will be one of this teams.
I also like your team Chelsea, since Mourinho was the coach,Chelsea won many fans around here.

Portugal has good players , but they´re only good on their clubs ...
They think they are big stars but on the pitch playing for Portugal they´re shit .
There´s no more love to the shirt and no more patriotism , now they think it´s a bore to be selected to play on their national team , and they want to avoid injuries otherwise they loose their place on the clubs where they play.
With Scolari on the command of our team everybody was with them and everybody had a national flag on the window to give support , now nobody has trust in this team and you don´t see flags on every window. These players are too young and some of them have no brains. ahahaha
They´re more like top models than soccer players . There´s no more drunken players with mullet and moustache on our team . ahaha
I enjoyed a lot to watch Brasil yesterday , they play total soccer and Maicon Goal will be on the top 3 of the best goals of the tournament.
Diego Maradona is so dumb , he didn´t take Lisandro Lopez and Lucho Gonzalez , i only knew about this yesterday .

I like your assessment of Portugal. Carvalho,Deco and Ferriera would of enjoyed it too :) I was surprised how poor both Portugal and the Ivory Coast played yesterday. I thought we might get an exciting game for once!
I thought Brazil were poor by their standards but the North Koreans did play like their lives depended on it (and they probably do!)
