Nice blog. You haven't got a copy of 'Production' by Scottish punks The Fakes, have you?
I haven't but my mate Gary over at
http://asfm.blogspot.com/search/label/Fakes.%20The
has it right there waiting for you.
Ahh cheers mate, your not bad for a CFC fan
You aint so bad yourself considering you support that red shite from Salford.
Just squirted a mouthful of coke across the keyboard. Bollocks.
Why, haveyou just watched a video of Ronaldo staying on his feet for 90 minutes : - )
Just got that Fakes zip, ta. Cheers to you both.
A nice pink coloured vinyl from what I remember.
Indeed it did Nuzz. Pukey plasmatics style pink...well not quite as bad.
Yeah had this on pink swirly milkshake style vinyl from those days when you'd buy anything even if you had all the tracks already?
Indeed, Asbo, a vinyl junkie product, or?
a) Garychching, the right coke is right up the nostril, and I pity you, Squire, if you're addicted to the wrong stuff (and the wrong stuff is worse, believe me);
b) as explanation for punters, being close to Stranglers/UA at the time, this EP (re-releasing previously available album/single tracks)was an attempt of Stranglers' management to combat other punk groups at the time, specifically the Clash: UA distributed at the time a badge (which I still have) with "The Clash" in the upper half prominently crossed out and below "The Stranglers" in the usual cursive logo, intact. I questioned this with the Stranglers' fan club at the time; they said it was "only natural". Just to let you know why UA released this EP; thanks for providing it again, Dave Sez.
Yep, I remember the pink swirly vinyl. The first punk e.p. I ordered through the mail. One of the best ever too. Unfortunatly all my 7"ers got ripped off in the 80's but they can't steal memories.
Indeed they can't John. Cheers for the comment.
