The Lurkers - New Guitar In Town 7'' (1979)

This was the last Lurkers single before they split up first time round back in '79. As much as I love the A side I'm even more fond of their cover of Little Ole Wine Drinker Me which was originally a hit for Dean Martin back in 1967.

Tracks

1) New Guitar In Town
2) Little Ole Wine Drinker Me

It was written by Pete Stride gonk so my guess is its The Lurkers. There was of course The New Guitars In Town LP (Pete Stride of the Lurkers and John Plain of The Boys) which was released in 1980.

While your here I've gotta mention it

ORIENT 6 Newcastle Utd 1 wtf happened lol

My favorite Lurkers single by a mile. Maybe adding Honest John Plain was the difference? Great one!

I have this one too, that LP by Pete Stride and John Plain was poor in my book and failed to live up to the expectations of The Lurkers & The Boys. Granted, Little Ole Cider Drinker Me (as I sing it) was a great cover !!

Cheers viacom and Gazz. Gazz there was one great song on that LP in my opinion (He'll Have To Go) but thats a golden oldie cover as well.

Your welcome Luca. I don't suppose your second name is Vialli by any chance?
