The Vibrators - Baby Baby (Re-issue) 7'' (1982)

This was The Vibrators comeback single in '82 and is a revamped version (and not quite as good version in my opinion) of their 1977 song which is widely recognised as one of Punk Rock's genuinely great love songs. The B side is different from the original 7'' too. Both of these songs were also on the "Guilty" album.

Tracks

1) Baby Baby
2) Dragnet

Vibrators was the first ever band I saw abroad, In Penzance. I was there for summer school (or whatever they call learning english during the vacation).

Jolt and Motors turned up there later that summer. Winter Gardens(?)

Penzance! Thats at the end of the world Robert! I know they here in Plymouth in '78 and were on the evening local news in the studio (Westward TV I think it was called) I remember Know with his sunglasses on looking all cool and the shows hosts not knowing what to make of them!

Have to agree Longy, this is way more inferior than the original release

Anyway after the second album and finding out they were hippies who jumped on the bandwagon I jogged them on

Is there a re-issue thats ever been better than an original? Probably Harry but I'm struggling to think of one.

Loads of bands/artists jumped on the Punk bandwagon but not too many jogged on Joe Strummer or The Stranglers ect. Me included.
