Its very sad to hear of the death of Sir Bobby Robson this morning. Fans of such teams as Fulham,Ipswich Town,PSV,Porto,Barcelona and of course his native Newcastle United amongst others will be very upset at this news. Bobby was the England Manager came closer than any other since '66 to leading our nation to World Cup victory and was only a penalty shootout from the final at Italia '90. As a Chelsea fan,I have alot to thank him for as it was Bobby who helped and encouraged a certain Jose Mourinho more than any other to get into coaching and we all know how good he turned out don't we. I also feel quite privledged to have met him in person albiet briefly back in the late 70's when he had time to give this kid an autograph and have a quick yap.Raise a glass to Sir Bobby Robson,a football man,a genuinely great guy and a true legend of our game. He will be sadly missed by any true football fan.

Shame, came across as a genuine nice guy :(
He will be greatly missed. I can't think of a single football fan who would have a bad word to say about Sir Bobby (and these days, that's saying something). I'll certainly raise a glass.
