The Dickies - Give It Back (White Vinyl) 7'' (1978)

Back in 1978 The Dickies played in Plymouth for the one and only time. Unfortunately I missed them due to being "grounded" for being a naughty boy (I was wrongly accused of a crime I didn't commit (theft of a calculator) from the shop where I did my £4 a week paper-round. I found the Police searching my bedroom when I arrived home from my round and heard my Mum saying to the Copper "Well he's probably sold it now" Needless to say I wasn't happy. I also got sacked from what was my first ever "job" I did get my revenge though by burning down the half the shop when I set all the bins at the back of it on fire a few weeks later. Anyway, enough of that before I incriminate myself)

I may not of got in to the gig anyway due to only being 13/14 at the time! In our school, there was a 5th year pupil by the name of Al Read who was a very tall Punk. So tall he got in to all the gigs easily. So this picture cover was brought into "Honicknowle Secondary College Of Knowledge" on the day of the gig and given to Mr Read to get signed by the band. Well he managed 3 out of 5 including the late Chuck Wagon. Who would of thought it,I'm jealous of a picture cover for seeing the band when I didn't! This was their 3rd single.

Tracks

1) Give It Back
2) You Drive Me Ape
