I wasn't going to post anymore Chelsea but as a special request from resident Swedish commenter arstider, here is the classic Urban Kids.As for the gig - one complaint regarding Chelsea. They were badly restricted by time and only played 10 songs. Shame because the ones they did were excellent. Songs included Right To Work,High Rise Living,Urban Kids,Im On Fire,The Loner and for the first time live in 30 years, All The Downs. I had a good yap to drummer Chris Bashford before the gig and had a yap with Gene after the gig too. He seemed amazed when I told him I had his solo single Suffering In The Land "Do you know how much that is worth" he said "140 quid" I laughed.
SLF were brilliant. They won't play a smaller venue on this tour. It suited them and it suited us. The Hippo was a perfect venue and the atmosphere electric. So many faces I haven't seen in years turned up for this one and I doubt anyone went away disappointed. Original bassist Ali was back and seemed to love it up on stage. Fingers sounded as good live as they ever did.
Songs included Suspect Device,Nobodys Heroes,At The Edge, Alternative Ulster,Wasted Life,Doesn't Make It Alright,Just Fade Away,Silver Lining,Tin Soldiers and tonnes more. My head is banging and I am hungover but I expected it.
Tracks
1) Urban Kids
2) No Flowers
