The Vapors - Turning Japanese 7'' (1980)

A golden oldie classic. Theres a slight jump towards the end of the B side but it doesn't matter because the A side is whats important here. One of those impossible not to singalong to tunes.

Tracks

1) Turning Japanese
2) Here Comes The Judge (Live)

Thanks for the great stuff. I've been reading the comments over at Days of Our Youth--another fantastic blog--bemoaning the lack of comments there. I've tried to leave them comments and thank them for the great stuff I've DL'd, but apparently you need to be a blogger to post a quick note, like I'm doing here. I think this is why their comments come from just a few fellow bloggers. Here I can post w/out having a url. I don't know if they're aware of this, but if they had the same comment set-up as you, I think they'd get better results. Perhaps you could pass this along? Thanks.

Funny looking buggers - not as odd as The Motors though.

No worries Finchy, I'm happy to pass it on.

Thanks for your comment Wolfmen. They are indeed!

Great song about porn. Not many got it at the time. Finchy is right about a lot of blogs though - I was desperately trying to leave a comment on Deadbeats and No-ones because the FLESHAPOIDS link has expired after only 10 downloads and would love it to be re-upped. You noble blogs are the only way we'd get to here some of the really rare stuff, otherwise they'd just be some fluffy legend that may or not be real!

Finchy, thanks for the comments, it is appreciated. If you don't have a Google account just click on the Anon box and that works.

Hi Kenny, That's the thing: you guys don't have the "Anon" option. You're forced to leave a url and are blocked if you don't. (I've even tried making one up on the fly, but it doesn't like that!) It doesn't work like it does here at PF. It's weird because you're both on blogspot, but I'm wondering if it's a region thing. I get the idea Longy is U.K. and assume you're U.S.? That might be the difference. But the option menu is definitely not the same. I can send you a screenshot if you want to see it from the outside.

Now that I'm back here, I feel I should comment on the Vapors. Just HUGELY underrated, especially their second lp, the one that REALLY didn't sell...

Gotta second the endorsement of the Short Sharp blog. Isksp too! It's been an education. My favorite era of music, and I'd barely scratched the surface. Glad you all hung on to your records until this blogging thing came around!
