The Members - Flying Again 7'' (1980)

Its been a while since we've had any Members so have this one. Listening to Flying Again after many years was an enjoyable experience. I almost had a fit when ripping the B sides and seeing there were 3 of them on a 7'' single. I didn't think it would survive without jumping but it somehow did. The 33 speed on the flip side certainly must of helped. The less said about Disco Oui Oui the better but I can cope with Love In A Lift and I like Rat Up A Drainpipe.

Tracks

1) Flying Again
2) Disco Oui Oui
3) Love In A Lift
4) Rat Up A Drainpipe

Afternoon Longy
I've just been across to the Rbkwh blog (thanks to your link)... another great music site. You guys should be paid for this!

As I was going through all the singles it struck me just what a special time this was in music/art/youth culture, etc.

I was only a small boy as this was kicking off so I missed it... but I'm living it now. Even without listening, the artwork and the song titles say so much. When I leave here and then look at todays commercially packaged music... well, it just depresses me (& that's saying something!)

Take care mate, & thanks for the mewsic! Shane

Thanks Yvo,Gobshyte and Shane. You are all welcome as ever.

Shane

If someone offered me money to do this,I'd turn it down. All for the love of music - nothing else!

Your right also,it was a special time for music and you certainly missed out because of age but in a way I'm jealous because you can discover it all for the first time while I can't (although thats not strictly true because of all the great blogs that post stuff I've never heard of too)

When CD's first came out it was a novelty listening to something so clear and uncrackled. But it isn't the same - especially as you don't get the artwork or hold the physical record in your hand and have to clean it ect.

99% of new music depresses me. Its not just the commercial packaging, its the shite music itself.

It's not just the commercial packaging... it's the shite inside! I love that.

I love your principles as well (I refer to $$$'s)

we'll speak again soon, Shane.
