Here in the UK, the above song title is the biggest understatement of all time. It should read, Outside,the trains hardly run at all and when they do,they are overcrowded,dirty,bloody expensive and you need a second mortgage if you want anything from the buffet - thats if its open! Even if you bring your own bog roll,it won't stop the flooding in the toilets.Enough of that,lets back on track (pardon the pun) Another great band from Leeds,The Gang Of Four.

Just for those who doubt the veracity of the incisive criticism of the UK rail system offered here, a chance statistic borrowed from the Economist (oh yes ...), the 2007 subsidy paid by the UK taxpayer to the private rail companies now running our "train service" is more than four times higher (in constant purchasing power terms) than the highest subsidy paid to British Rail to run the previously national system ... hey, viva el capitalismo (or some such). Sod'em! Dave Sez.
