When I heard The Fall were doing a version of this Motown classic back in 87 then I naturally avoided it as back then I always avoided anything by The Fall. After I had the misfortune to see them back in 82 I detested them for years. But over the last couple of years,I've come to my senses and realised what a fool I'd been. A great cover version here.Tracks

Also love this and the R.Dean Taylor original. Classic post.
Cheers Gary. Glad one person likes it at least.

Good news that you've finally come to your senses regarding The FALL!
I would've downloaded and left wonderful comments but as I'm sure you know collecting the works of Mark E has been and still is my main mission in life.
The greatest band on the planet. "Lost In Music" has got to my personal favourite of the many wacky covers they've done, with Hank Mizzel's "Jungle Rock" narrowly slipping into second place!!
Take care mate ;)
When I saw them in 1982 down here Rod,I can honestly say its still to this day,the worst gig I've ever seen. I felt totally ripped off for the 2 quid I paid out!
It took me another 25 years to listen to them properly and its like discovering a new band : - )
One thing I've learnt over the years with The FALL live is that they're either totally shite or mind-blowingly amazing! The worst I've ever seen them was at Finsbury Park in 1985. I was looking forward to their Glasgow gigs this month but they've been cancelled :(
I'll give them another go one day Rod. I think I'm ready after 27 years to take the risk again. Sorry to hear about your Glasgow gigs.
totally wired is up with the greats " I drank a jar of coffee and I took some of these!" hilarious also check wfmu beware of the blog songs the fall taught us esp. f. oldin money yay party wiv me punker!
Cheers anon. As I've mentioned,it took me a bloody long time to like em but I got there in the end
