The Lurkers - I Don't Need To Tell Her 7'' (1978)

Chelsea FC are not the only great thing to come out of West London. Theres The Lurkers, the first band I ever saw back in 1978. This single was from the terrific Fulham Fallout LP and along with Alberto Y Lost Trios Paranios's "Heads Down No Nonsense Mindless Boogie" was the only other Punk song my late Mother liked. The Old Man hated all of it so I guess I should be thankful.

This one came in four different picture covers each featuring a different band member on the front (like the Damned's Love Song which followed this a year later) I've got 2 of them but I'll let you have the signed one with Howard on the front.

The Lurkers are still going strong with original member Arthuro (who had already left by the time this record was released) leading the line and leading them well. Their last album "Fried Brains" is well worth checking out.

Tracks

1) I Don't Need To Tell Her
2) Pills

Man I love this band, went to see them everywhere. I rmeembber giving Howards girl freind (Anne) a lift home on my bike (Suzi 425) in the winter, leggins and high heels no socks, she was frozen.

I still have all the cover vairants. Both sides excellent.

I have a soft spot for the stuff they recorded for Clay like the single "Drag You Out" you posted earlier. Excellent band anyway.
