Sex Pistols - Holidays In The Sun 7'' (1977)

I'll finish up on Sex Pistols related stuff with a rather crackly classic. Does anyone know Donna McIntosh? Me neither. Shes written her name on the front cover and label the wicked woman! If she is an ex,then I can't remember her and she couldn't of been that memorable.

And now for the big question......what was best Sex Pistols B Side?

A) I Wanna Be Me
B) I Did You No Wrong
C) No Fun
D) Satellite

I still can't decide after all these years but its between A,B,and D for me. What about you?

Tracks

1) Holidays In The Sun
2) Satellite

I going for D - a killer riff that could be straight out of The Who Songbook

For me it's definately I Did You No Wrong. The song even goes in to my Top 5 Pistols.
Robert - Stockholm - Sweden,

By the way, probably my first comment on this blog:
Thank you for an excellent page!

I took this photo at the Music Machine 1978. Probably before Johnny Moped walked on stage.

I would have to go with No Fun. I remember playing it over and over again when I bought the Pretty Vacant single. It sounded amazing, and what at the time I imagined they must sound like live. It was also the very first time I had heard a Stooges song and it inspired me to buy their first album.

I loved Did You No Wrong, but always preferred the original by Quo ;-)

Wanna Be Me & Satellite have to be up in my top 5 Pistols songs anyway. Can't choose between 'em. I think both are better than they're respective A Sides. Wanna be Me, for the longest stop ever, 12345678, Satellite for real venom.
Did You Know Wrong & No Fun, I see as B sides, which would have detracted from Bollocks rather than enhanced which I think the other 2 would have. I would have made Submission and EMI B sides.
Ad if I had, they would pobably be now my favourite Pistols tracks!
Arggggggghhhhhh!
Punk has it himself! :)

Satellite easy winner for me. Written about Shanne Bradley from the Nipple Erectors fame who I think ended up marrying John Hasler who was the original drummer from Madness then played with Department S. Boring yeah I know. Keep up the good work Longy...Cheers.

All news to me Marky so no,not boring at all. Thanks for the comment.

I kinda see the Who analogy with Satellite. But I think its more reminiscent of Turn It Down by The Sweet, particularly the intro. People always go on about Johnny Thunders, etc. But I always felt that consciously or not, the stomp of the early seventies Glam Rock bands were more of an influence on Steve Jones’ guitar style than the Dolls.

Hey no fucking choice and I aint takin' no but no shit: I Wanna Be Me, the only Pistols track officially released (and never re-recorded) as the original four-track (un-overdubbed) recorded by Dave Goodman, the best of the best ... Dave Sez.

Did You No Wrong.... Easy!
