And on the subject of ex Pistols you had just as well have this one too. Its not often I'm star-struck but when I went to Reading away a couple of seasons ago (the night both our goalkeepers were assaulted - Petr Cech still wears a protective helmet to this day because of that bastard Steven Hunt) I bumped right into Mr Paul Cook in the concourse at half-time. I just shouted out "Cookie" and he turned round and I shook his hand and told him how much I loved the Pistols. He just looked embarressed at being recognised as the Chelsea faithful around us were muttering "whos that then" I had just had a piss and not washed my hands too (sorry Paul!) Steve Jones is also a Chelsea fan so these boys have taste.
Anyway enough of that, back to the music. This was their 1st single.
1) Just Another Dream
2) Action Man

Funny that you would post two of my favorites here. I actually like The Professionals and Rich Kids better than the Sex Pistols. Don't get me wrong NMTB's is awesome. I just dig these two bands more. Nice one Longy
I can take or leave the Rich Kids to be honest Ken but I was gutted when The Professionals broke up I must admit. Jonesy and Cooky are brilliant musicians and The Professionals could of and should of been massive. A great shame.
The Professionals is a combination of everything I like... fab guitar riffs, great anthemic choruses, great beat etc... the lot!
As you say... should have been HUGE!
agree!
I always thought they were both QPR. Must have been the Sheperds Bush thing. :)
And yeah should have been huge.
J
Definately a Shepherds Bush thing John. Matlock is a QPR fan though but then again, nobodys perfect : - )
Thanks for sharing this as well as for the Rich Kids one.
Cheers
Your welcome mate
Thanks for re-upping. What's the story with their song '1-2-3'? Did Steve Jones nick the Avengers song ('Second to None')? Who's on the writing credits on both records?
To be honest I dunno mate. I don't own 1-2-3 anymore and the one stuck up on this blog was before I had a digi-turntable.
Hey Anon, Penelope said Steve was the one who came up with the tune when he was recording/producing the Avengers, but they all contributed lyrics to 'Second to None'.
If you really love that tune, check out the Business version of '1-2-3' off the Mean Girl album and get an earful of Hard Skin's version called 'Fat Bob the Builder' from Fucking Skins, Fucking Punks.
Instant Classic!
