Inspired by the recent Meteors posting up at the tremendous http://punksonpostcards.blogspot.com/ and staying very much on a Stranglers theme, Punk Friction proudly presents this fine piece of plastic. For the youngsters who visit here and may not know,Go Buddy Go was an old Stranglers single (a double A side along with Peaches) which was a UK top 10 hit back in 1977. The B sides are good old Psychobilly and not many could play Psychobilly in this country quite like the Meteors could.Tracks

Honestly at the time when I heard Meteors version I thought it was a cover of some old Rock'n'Roll/Surf classic.... was quite surprised when I found out it was in fact a Stranglers' number.
As for the plug... do you accept payment via PayPal??!!

I must admit Go Buddy Go doesn't sound like a typical old Stranglers number like some of their other 77/78 stuff does so it would be an easy mistake to make. I brought my copy of Go Buddy Go/Peaches in Boots (yes that Boots) of all places! I brought Pretty Vacant on the same day in the same place too.
My fave Stranglers song. I didn't know The Meteors covered it, its a good cover as well (although not as good as the original).
